I was logged out of the forum. I was Meerkat1234 but had to have a new user name. I am now jerusalem65. A doctor phoned and said go to 25mcg levothyroxine because I have subclinical symptoms and was over medicated. Didn’t get chance to ask for vitamins to be tested. Found out that another doctor who put the levothyroxine up to 50 mcg back in May referred me to an endocrinologist which was for the 5th of September. This was cancelled without a reason.

SERUM FREe T4 LEVEL 18.5 pmol/L N/R 7.7-20.6
SERUM FREe T 3 LEVEL 5.4pmol/L N/R 4.2-6.9
SERUM TSH LEVEL 0.03m/u/L N/R o.30-4.80
you don’t need to reduce dose at all
Free T4 (fT4) 18.5 pmol/L (7.7 - 20.6)
Ft4 is 83.7% through range
Free T3 (fT3) 5.4 pmol/L (4.2 - 6.9)
Ft3 only 44.4% through range
Unfortunately you took levothyroxine before test so Ft4 is falsely high

Medichecks and BH also offer private blood draw at clinic near you, or private nurse to your own home…..for an extra fee
As we know from previous posts…..highly likely very poor vitamin levels
Send letter/email to GP
Say you are remaining on current dose as your Ft3 is only 44% through range and have arranged to see endocrinologist privately as your NHS appointment was inexplicably cancelled
Refuse to reduce dose and go see a thyroid specialist endocrinologist privately

Roughly where in the U.K. are you?
If GP says " I have to reduce your dose because the guidelines say i can't let you have a below range TSH" .....
This is INCORRECT
The first paragraph in the NICE (NHS) Thyroid Disease, Assessment and Management guidelines says :
nice.org.uk/guidance/ng145
"Your responsibility
The recommendations in this guideline represent the view of NICE, arrived at after careful consideration of the evidence available. When exercising their judgement, professionals and practitioners are expected to take this guideline fully into account, alongside the individual needs, preferences and values of their patients or the people using their service. It is not mandatory to apply the recommendations, and the guideline does not override the responsibility to make decisions appropriate to the circumstances of the individual, in consultation with them and their families and carers or guardian.
