Better warn the webmaster of the site that will be offering the download, that there could be mad rush from thousands of TUK forum members on release day! We don't want the site to crash due to sheer weight of traffic 🤣
🤣🤣 we should work out a system - if your handle starts with A-E, you can download on the day it's released. F-J, day 2, and so on ... Sorry RedApple you will be on Day 4 😂😜
Sounds really comprehensive. I'll be buying 2 copies I think, one for myself and one for my GP surgery! Thank you Diogenes, this book can't come fast enough for the healthcare profession.
Let's hope the NHS Endo Consultants read it ... maybe when they have the time on their strike...Oh sorry no they will be catching up on their private work and then going back to NHS for double - time overtime
Diogenes, thank you, thank you! You've obviously put a lot of work into this book. The only thyroid book I bought in the early days was by Joan Gomez "How to cope with thyroid problems". The intro stated that you would have to just take a tiny white tablet for the rest of your life, to be ok!! 🙈🙈 If only it were that simple. One thing she did say, which was interesting though and I think true about myself, is that people who usually suffer with thyroid problems tend to be warm, kind hearted people!
Wondering, how will you be spreading the word about your new eBook to the "medical profession?" Do you have a good feeling about your book educating our GPs? I do hope so! Thank you again.
Sorry and I don’t mean anything personal you could well be a warm, kind hearted person but I think Joan Gomez saying ‘ people who usually suffer with thyroid problems tend to be warm, kind hearted people!’ is as batty as her saying ‘that you would have to just take a tiny white tablet for the rest of your life, to be ok!! ’
Well spotted, I was misdiagnosed with post partum thyroiditis that was Hashi’s all along. I could have done with knowing more back then and GPs Endos etc knowing more. Mind you ‘puberty to conception through to menopause and your thyroid’ could be a another whole book 📚
Pregnancy will figure in the appropriate chapter on whom to treat. Preconception will stand as a description of "normal euthyroid" patients. Postpartum will also figure here.
Thank you so much for this! I’m really looking forward to reading it. I hope there will be plans to publish it in hard copy form as I think not many doctors (certainly the ones I know) will be inclined to read an e-book, whereas if they have a hard copy they can dip into when necessary, they might actually be inclined to do so…
…and if you can/have enough useful clinical material, please can you address NDTs and how to combine with conventionals successfully to get balances right? Thank you again
Thank you Diogenes. I will definitely be reading this, just wish the Drs would be interested as they seem to know zilch about thyroid unless they or a family member are sufferers
Issues and controversies in the treatment of hypothyroidism 108
Are you sure you only needed 2 pages for this chapter? All kidding aside, it looks sure to be an important work. Thanks in advance to you and your colleagues.
