I have recently upped dose from 75 mg daily to 75mg x4 and 100mg x3 . I only did this 10 days ago and so have only taken 100 on 5 days so far.
I don't know if it has anything to do with the medication increase or not but I had quite bad chest pains n the night last night. Like a tightness in middle of chest and throat which lasted a couple of minutes. Then faded away. It felt a bit alarming and have had this happen a few years ago when I was on 100mg.
My previous results when I was only on 75mg were
Tsh 2.55 Done through GP 17/06/23
Tsh 3.07
T4 16.9
T3 4.1 (Done through Monitor my health)
Both tests done in Am before No Meds.
I was hoping I could push up my T3 with a higher dose but maybe my body can't actually take any more T4?
I know 10 days on new dose is so early to tell but I decided to only take 75 today.
If anyone knows whether I could feel symptoms of over that quickly?

10 days after a levo increase (or reduction) is about the time it takes for me to really feel it ,,, , but i do begin to feel the difference long before that even within the first few days, so yes in my experience that fits with it most likely being your dose increase that caused the heart to object.
I would try increasing much more slowly .
eg instead of going up to 87.5mcg /day (which more or less what you are getting with 75/ 4 days + 100mcg /3 days)
just do 1 day x 100mcg , 6 days x 75mcg.
give that a couple of weeks , and if no probs , then do 2x 100mcg, 5 x 75mcg.
stick at that for another few weeks before deciding whether to increase any more.
if all ok then try 3x 100 , 4 x 75mcg for 6 weeks then get bloods tested.
if you get heart probs again on 3 x100, 4 x 75mcg , just go back a step and do 6 weeks on 2x 100 and then test bloods .
You could also consider taking roughly half your daily dose in the morning and the remainder at bedtime (if your eating pattern allows it to be taken at least 3 hrs after food/ milky drinks/ other supplements / medications ) , this might help you tolerate the increase easier .
Thank you for your response. I think a slow approach is definitely worth trying. Funny as my Doctor was happy to put me up to 100 every day only based on their Tsh with only my private test for reference for T4 And T3.
I definitely don't like this feeling in my chest!
hello, chest pain is listed by Barry Peatfield as one of the main symptoms experienced by people with what we called “low adrenal reserve” syndrome. If you try to raise your thyroid meds but have low cortisol you can get chest pain (and other symptoms too).
