Chest tightness/pain

Hey guys, I’m on T4/T3 combo (100mg+2x10mg) about 3 months, I had my blood test done about a month ago and they were ok, I was feeling good, but all of the sudden from Saturday I am feeling tired again, lack of energy and having chest tightness/pain and feeling very anxious, crying...could it be the symptom of being undertreated? I am supplementing with Vit D, B complex, selenium, magnesium.

Many thanks

Doctors seem to only take notice of the TSH and if it is low will reduce the person's dose. They seem to believe we've gone from hypO to hyPer so adjust dose to keep TSH 'in range'. We do not want in range. We want TSH to be 1 or lower.

Both the frees could be a bit higher disregarding the TSH.

I've never split doses of T3 because one of our deceased Advisers - an expert on the use of T3 - only took one daily dose himself - in the middle of the night when he awoke so that nothing interfered with the uptake. He took T3 only. He stated that T3 has to 'saturate our T3 receptor cells' and thereafter it sends out 'waves' throughout the day.

I shall also give a link which might be helpful and contains three sections.

p.s. Sveistre - I didn't state that I'm not medically qualified but had the same awful experience that others on this forum have had. I take T3 only.

I am well now and hope you are able to when optimally medicated. Symptoms should take the priority over the TSH.

Thanks, shaws! Yes, of course, we’re all patients here not the doctors, but like I said I was feeling good and it got worse from nowhere - same diet, same supplements, same doses.. but since it’s Hashi’s maybe it came to the point where more thyroid was destroyed and I need higher dose - just my theory! Please send that link about T3. Would you recommend to take all the meds at once first thing in the morning?

I do take one daily dose when I get up. I have a life. Don't have to worry about time or food interfering with the uptake. Fortunately I'm happy and symptom-free. It is the symptoms that can get us down especially when doctors state we're on sufficient dose as TSH is 'within range'.

Any of the three in the above link will be helpful/

Unfortunately, due to Dr Lowe's early death his website was deleted - sometimes I come across. He took 150mcg of T3 daily (in the middle of the night) and if I come across a past post re the T3 I will copy/paste it to you.

You'll fine the three subjects on the above link interesting especially about T3.

Thanks! That’s a lot of info to read but a good one. I just realized the day before having those terrible symptoms I ate a little bit of regular chocolate (full packed with sugar of course) when lately I’m on sugar, gluten, grains, most oils free diet for 8 months now, so now I clearly see what poison is sugar😵
