Just curious as why 5mcg, 10mcg T3 is so much more expensive than 20mcg T3? Sorry I did try using search bar as i know will have been discussed but i failed

Hope you are not hoping for, or expecting, a good answer. :-)

It is as simple as being what the companies can get away with. How do we exploit our market position?

It absolutely, 100%, provably, is nothing to do with the cost of the active ingredient.

Roma capsules in both 5 and 20 microgram dosages are £55 for 28. With their 10 microgram product being only slightly more expensive at £65.

Where there are multiple products, the prices are usually lower. Hence 20 microgram being the least expensive.

I hadn't kept up to date why thankfully t3 costs dropped dramatically but gather they'd finally had a slap on hands. So this is their way of still fleecing NHS and recouping back profits?I've only just managed get t3 prescribed after 8 years. Won't be rocking the boat asking for 5's or 10's, always used a pill cutter anyway

What does the M category mean? And why no brand given for that one? Sorry - may be very obvious answers but just trying to get my head around the pricing before speak to GP again. Guess a bit worried that as it’s cheap it may be Teva?
