Good to see the price of something coming down! So much for the manufacturers’ excuses of development and production being such an expensive process, eh?
Is there any evidence to show whether it’s being used more widely now that the price has come down or is the medical establishment still coming up with vacuous excuses not to?
I asked the people behind Open Prescribing if they were going to cover the other three nations. They'd like to but the equivalent data isn't readily available so they can't.
Petition the Welsh government to make it available? (This is meant generally - not politically.)
Also important to realise that Roma 20mcg capsules are now dearer than 20mcg tablets.
Some ICBs' T3 policies say patients should be given the capsules, not tablets. Not a sensible idea to have this in a policy document as prices change all the time. And currently the tablets cost less than capsules.
