I think I saw recently someone record that Roseway Lab now offers access to private medic to write a T3 prescription, but I can’t find this info on their website. Anyone used them for this, and could you PM me details of costs, what details they need re Hypothyroidism etc? I use the lab already to supply T3 Thybon Henning from a private endo, but since I have to have a private consultation even if only briefly over the phone to get a prescription out of him the costs mount up!

Thanks TiggerMe I use them, they are very nice to deal with. Very unlike what we usually see here. I’d ring them with any questions, they are a small team and super friendly. I paid £30 for a phone consultation with their prescriber, prior to that I emailed their thyroid health form and latest bloods. We had a good discussion about symptoms and where I was in my treatment, trial approved and repeat prescription given despite T4 over range requiring T4 reduction, was just super supportive. The prescription comes through electronically, you pay online and it’s posted out to you. I’d check they stock what you want before going all through this though. I have lactose free compounded (their own mix in capsules) T3. 🌱
It's under the "for patients / prescription service" tabs on their website. All the info about payments and how it works can be found there.
I've used this consultation service before, about two years ago I think, and they recommended that I stay on my NHS levo prescription and just change the dose. So they're not willing to just prescribe anything that you ask for, which is actually quite reassuring.
Hi J675I hope you don't mind me asking. I presume you get t3 on nhs. Did roseway lans top up your nhs prescription? I am taking 100/15 on nhs prescription and I have a feeling my Dr will discharge me back to gp. I feel almost well. Better than I have in a long time but not quite there. I feel t4 and t3 need to be a little bit higher. My tsh is suppressed and one of the endos I see keeps telling my I am hyper. I can't keep having the sane argument. It's exhausting!
Thanks both for quick reply…it was more the potential of saving c.£100+ consultation to get the prescription that attracted me! I am assuming since they know a well known endo, who they deal with direct, has prescribed for last few years that they are unlikely to quibble. Whether my GP will accept that a prescriber has sufficient expertise/clout is another potential problem down the line.
I have had a phone consultation with Roseway Labs prescriber today who is going to prescribe the same Thybon Henning T3 I normally get from a private endo , and doses for 1 year, costing £30 for consultation and the standard £60 per 100 pills (x3). Not only will this allow a quicker turn around when 100 pills finished, but should save me c.£500 per year!
