Hello, thanks to the wisdom on this site, I have started supplementing with the above B complex. My last result was vitamin B12 Active - 78.5 (37.5-150). My question is on the suggested use, it says on the tub take 1 capsule one to three times daily. There is no point asking my doctor as I am in range, but I want to go for more optimal levels. Do others take one a day, or more. Thoughts anyone? I take at lunchtime so as not to interfere with my levothyroxine which i take first thing.
Thanks

If I want B12 or folate to be higher then I would buy a separate supplement for that and take it a few days a week, not necessarily every day.
That is what I do. I buy methylcobalamin and take it 3 or 4 days a week. And I do it with methylfolate as well. This keeps my B12 very high (which I have found beneficial for me), but I do have problems keeping my folate levels up.
I keep taking the Thorne all the time, but drop and restart the B12 and folate as necessary.
I've only ever taken one a day. I first started taking it when my folate level was very close to the bottom of it's range, in 2.5 months it had increased to almost top of range.
If I were you I'd start with one a day and retest in 3 months to see what difference it's made, you can always increase later on if necessary but do keep an eye on your levels if you do, it's not a cheap supplement so you don't want to waste money on taking more than you need.
I've recently changed to a more budget friendly liposomal B Complex which has similar doses of the vits and I'm doing OK with it, no reason to change back as far as I'm concerned:
I take one a day of Thorne Basic B. I do need to top up my folate though so buy a separate methylfolate to do that. Just go by blood results and start on one a day which should be fine.
when I first got Thorne Basic B I took two tablets together before reading the label properly (it says take one, up to three times a day). Taking two made me feel dizzy and sick - it was certainly the B12 content of two tablets - 2x400 (I’ve felt sick on high dose B12 before) but on one tablet I’m ok.
