Email Notifications - are you switched off when you'd rather be switched on? Or switched on when you'd rather be switched off?

It's easily done. You come to the forum, write a post, hang around for a while and then wander off to get on with other things in your life.

Sometimes, members may reply to your post a while after you've gone off forum.

If you've asked a question or for help, someone might send you sensitive information by private message.

But maybe you don't come back to the forum for a while, so you don't see that little red Alert Bell, or the Yellow blob next to the Chat paper aeroplane.

If you have email alerts switched on in your profile though, you should receive an email to tell you that someone replied. Or that someone sent you a private message.

Please take a moment to pop back on forum to acknowledge their contribution. It only takes a few moments to click a 'Like' button, or type the word Thanks and hit send.

Not getting those emails? Check your Profile settings!

Getting too many emails?

Maybe you don't want to be pestered by HeathUnlocked, or you're going away, or just to chill out from social media for a while.

You can unsubscribe from Everything HealthUnlocked when ever it suits you, just go to your Profile settings. But don't forget to switch back on when you need some support again!

I have tried to change my email preferences to getting emails weekly but I keep getting them daily. I keep changing my preferences to weekly or monthly but I keep getting daily emails no matter what I do.

Canu,

Are you making these changes and then pressing the ‘save’ button?

Radd, There's no save button on the email preferences page.

You need to change the frequency in the dropdown box.

There is a "confirm" button when you change the frequency in the dropdown box on your phone, but not from the computer.

Canu, are you getting the green bar at top of page to confirm the change?

If you are still having problems, please contact HU tech support for help. It may be a technical glitch that needs fixing. support.healthunlocked.com/#

Yes, I get "Your preference has been updated!" but then I receive daily emails again.

Is the selection in the dropdown reverting back to Daily, even though you get the confirmation that you've changed your selection?

Exactly, yes.

Canu, Please contact HU Support about this, as they are the only ones that can fix it for you. If you go to support.healthunlocked.com/# and click on the little green Help button in the bottom left corner, you should get a green message box where you can select Technical Issue from the dropdown menu.
