Thanks for letting us know Louise, but why can't they leave things alone. You just get to understand how things work and then someone changes it. Usually for the worse. It would be good if it went back to how it was before HealthUnlocked.

Mine hasn't changed on my tablet, I don't have My Hub nor Chat

may be a browser refresh issue - I had the same until I clicked refresh

I don't like the idea of being flogged insurance here, especially not within the area of "My" Hub; nor that Pharmacy2U is being pushed at us, seemingly misrepresented as (the) NHS online prescription service. Any number of such services are available, whereas any googling of Pharmacy2U brings up several accounts of less than professional behaviour on the part of that company ....

edited: there's even an A4 warning against their misleading/misrepresenting of their connection to the NHS on the counter of my pharmacy.

have suggested to HU that they call this 'Sponsored Links' rather than Resources which I think is a particularly misleading title - apparently it is about funding the platform

You might want to consider contact HU support to express your concerns.

Gambit62 In her message Louise3 mentioned that we could either contact HU direct or leave our feedback here - so hopefully she will be collating all the responses in the thread, in due course. I think carnation is correct in that it definitely appears as if the companies listed are being endorsed by HU.

personally I think that numbers corresponding directly with HU will make it clearer to them exactly what the strength of feeling is.

Gambit62,

I agree with you.

Coming in on Monday to thousands of emails would, I suspect, have a much larger impact than a few admins sending summaries.

Agree with NoMoreT3, this is not the place for selling insurance or dodgy pharmacy services. To anyone new they will appear to be endorsed by Thyroid UK.

Many thanks for this - have taken the lazy option and posted a link from the PAS forum ...

:)

Why do they do these things that don't add anything useful - I suppose the web developers need to earn a crust, but still. And I work in IT!

I agree this is misleading and should have no part to play on HU. Will contact Louise to let her know I too disapprove. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I wish they would stop trying to 'improve' HU - as if we want to chop and change every few months when we're too busy answering important questions.

This isn't facebook or whatever else there is. It is a serious website dealing with people who are unwell and trying to get better.

Stop promoting anything that isn't to do with Health problems.

The resources section is misleading. It implies that they are endorsed by Health Unlocked. I can understand the need for advertising to fund Health Unlocked but it should be clear that it is just advertising. Sponsored links/adverts would be a much better title.

We need our local pharmacies and are advised to use them as a first port of call. If Pharmacy2U took over that would be another service lost. Pharmacies provide more than just perscription dispensing service and the way Pharmacy2U make their service appear to be the NHS dispensing service online though probably not illegal must be sailing close to the wind.

I totally agree. When I saw the Resources section, I was hoping it would be a sort of repository for things directly helpful to us. For example, we need somewhere for PDFs of all the excellent papers that are now coming out, about correct thyroid testing and medications that should be prescribed.

I was really very annoyed to see it is being used for advertising. It is very misleading :x

But now I know it's just an advert section, I won't bother looking there again.

Not what you're looking for?
