If you have wondering about the basics of adrenals linked to thyroid?

A good discussion to listen to that might help with some ideas and basic lifestyle changes and approaches.

Thanks for the link.Did you take any steps to help support your adrenals during your recent trip?

On the 27th of April, I went on a 18 hour road trip to go see a doc. It was supposed to be a 12 hour trip but we got caught in a freezing rain storm. I got back to my city around 1 am. Bu the time I got into bed, my heart was racing and I was buzzing with wired energy even though I was exhausted.

Curious to know if you can share any tips that helped you???I have an upcoming trip back to see that doc and God willingly my body will handle it better.

Oh Imaaan sounds awful.

Hmmm trying to think… I know that wired & tired feeling, it’s awful. The freezing rain storm sounds scary. Poor things.

I wasn’t very well rested when we left, I’d just had food poisoning (never trust a prawn cooked by an sight impaired octogenarian … I should know better). I did nap in the car, darling hubster did all the driving. We stopped and chilled in a nice town because we were early. I didn’t drink alcohol but was offered Trip CBD a kind of soda but no sugar at the party. I spent a lot of the party sitting and talking … I’d usually be dancing. Didn’t eat much. These people don’t eat!

I took my own breakfast smoothie with me, stuck to my routines for meds and supplements and diet carefully as possible.

Didn’t sleep well in the hotel, had a lovely visit with the kids at a shopping outlet next day.. Had a proper lunch (Itsu Thai chicken rice bowl - I had to accept some soy was inevitable). No sugar or snacks.

Slept all the way home in the car, fell into bed and slept more.

Went to yoga and had a lazy day, got the broad beans into the allotment,

Then it hit me. I had two days of aches, walking through treacle and feeling exhausted on waking, bed at 8.30pm both the following nights.

Better today. Cycled to work, gave a presentation to staff so probs pumping adrenaline, daughter arrived back from Uni for a month, lots of excitement. We shall see how I fare tomorrow. On Saturday I can sleep till I wake up 😊

I think keeping a routine helps, didn’t eat anything off plan, no sugar really levels me out. CBD drinks, might try again, I’m usually socially awkward, a bit over excitable, nervous and I was but settled easily. I had literally no cares, hubby did all the transport and my kids are adults so take care of themselves. I think I’d find a long round trip to a Doctor stressful too. I ruminate and mull over appointments quite a bit.

Sorry brain dumping splurge - hope there is something useful in there 💕🦋🌱💕

Hiya,

Sorry to hear about your food poisoning. What a trooper you are to have traveled whilst feeling unwell. Glad to hear you were able to nap in the car and your hubby gets A++++ for doing all the driving.

On a side note, Dr Pimentel(leading doc) talks about food poisoning and its connection to sibo.

Your adrenals may be in a better place that I'm in if you could muster enough energy to spend time with your children at a shopping outlet the next day. In your place all I would be able to muster would have been spending time with them at the hotel you were staying at. I'm glad you were able to enjoy some time with them.

Better today. Cycled to work, gave a presentation to staff so probs pumping adrenaline, daughter arrived back from Uni for a month, lots of excitement. We shall see how I fare tomorrow. On Saturday I can sleep till I wake up 😊

^^^^Now that is what I call superwoman energy. If you can bottle it, pls send some my way. I hope you all experience many memorable moments during her stay.

There were several useful tips, thank you ♥️
