See comments from previous post ref ferritin here: healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Make an appointment with GP and inform them of the NICE guidelines.

From a previous post also I see your FT3 was low. Has your T3 been increased since?

What are you supplementing with? No range for B12 but if it is a serum B12 its on the low side.

I can't comment on full blood count as not enough experience.

thanks. I’m all at sea.

I’m taking B12 Plus Bcomplex

Cutting 25 t3 into 4. So slight increase from my last 20mcg . Will test in about a month.

just can’t face doctors . I feel so disempowered as I asked for help to get blood count good.

Only focus on TSH. Trying to reduce my dose , can’t battle any more .

Given up for now !

I think we need a little talk. Could I take you back to a year ago when you made this comment? healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Obviously you were feeling a lot better then than you are today. Thyroid disease and associated vitamin deficiences etc can really take it out of you and get you down. All very understandable and that at your lowest point you need to be facing battles with medics is not great at all.

Take a few days out, regroup a bit.

Find a more helpful GP at your practice. One that listens more than the others do and is prepared to go the extra mile. Make an appointment about the low ferritin and explain that NICE guidelines suggest a ferritin of under 30 is deficient.

You could also post on the pernicious anaemia group with your blood count, B12 level and tell them what you are taking. See what they suggest.

Now is the time to take a break and come back refreshed to fight another day. 🤗

GP’s comment. “All good”.

Really?? Your white blood cell counts are all low. And looking at your high in range MCH and your low RBC, your body is struggling to make red blood cells too. Your ferritin is woeful.

I think a referral to a haematologist is something your doctor should be thinking about. Cos when you’ve got low red AND white blood cell counts that could be aplastic anaemia. That could be why you feel so awful.

Do these people actually learn anything at medical school any more??
