Hi,
I’m seeing the Endocrinologist later today, please can someone interpret my blood test results. I have had a total thyroidectomy and am on 100 Levothyroxine and 20 Liothyrine (T3)
TSH 0.01. T3. 4.7. T4 6.9
Many thanks

Always add ranges as ranges vary between labs,
By most range FT4 is low & FT3 is also quite low.
From your previous posts you have history of low thyroid levels & the TSH doesn’t reflect it - ie TSH is always suppressed?
How low before test did you take replacement levo & Lio.
Did you test as recommended - in morning, fasting & ceasing biotin 3 days before.
How do you feel? Would you say you are well with these levels?
Doctors go by TSH & will say you are over medicated but your FT4 & FT3 levels say different . Some mange with low FT4 if FT3 is good but many need good levels for both.
Are your nutrients optimal. Folate, ferritin, B12 & vitamin D?
Do you believe you absorb you replacement well or could you have issues here?
Hi, I followed the advice you give before testing. Ever since my thyroid removal, I have always had a suppressed tsh result and low T3 and T4. I saw a different endo this time, he said in view of the fact that I have had 3 surgeries in the last year, he didn’t want to change my medication and would prescribe tlc and a holiday if he could. I’m currently feeling awful, I’ve had a cold since December which I can’t get rid of, my arthritis in my hands is worse, my hands are really dry and swollen so have cuts all over them. On top of that, when I had surgery in November to remove 2 discs from my neck they tore my rotator cuff. I’ve since had a cortisone injection which I suffered a reaction to and which led to an emergency blood test for sepsis arthritis which fortunately was negative. I’m continuing to feel awful and the pain in my shoulder is getting worse. I’m stressed out because my employer is now going to dismiss me on ill health and capability grounds. I wish I could just feel normal.
How are you feeling in yourself Baggieswidow . That's a huge part of the equation as well as your biochemical results.

It is because doctors are taught to be worried if TSH suppressed.
To feel well most need FT4 in top third & FT3 over 50% and this is what you have to strongly argue for - to be well and manage to work.
The upheaval of prior surgeries should not be a used as a factor to leave you under replaced.
Do you have someone to support & advocate for you during appointments?
You haven’t added ranges so I can’t calculate where you land in the range. Add you add ranges?
Precisely how long prior to test did you take your replacement?
Are your nutrients optimal? Doctors don’t always look at nutrients & if in range view them as acceptable & if hypothyroid you need them optimal.
hi, good questions from the replies. When my levels were low like yours I felt awful. I hope you receive the correct help to receive optimal levels for wellbeing.
