Post partum TPO

Hi, I have hashimoto's and also now I'm hypo. My daughter gave birth 7 months ago and has been struggling with tiredness and trying to lose weight. She had some bloods done and it is showing that she is also now positive for Hashimoto's, although her TSH is in the 'normal' range. I would say it's a bit high at 3.5 as hers is normally around 1. Her T4 is also on the lower end of 'normal'

Worryingly her progesterone has also come back as low. She does want more kids and her cycle has been all over the show since she gave birth.

I suppose my question is, is it normal for your progesterone to tank after giving birth with a thyroid condition and can this be reversed? She wants more kids and this is her biggest fear.

Was thyroid test done early morning to get highest TSH

Has she had vitamin levels tested too

Essential to test vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin

is she still breast feeding?

Test was done at 8.40am, T4 was 13 I think. No T3 tested. Vitamins all ok. Didn't breast feed. Her progesterone is 0.2! And her TPO was 36.6 (0-34 range)
