I’ve just started talking NDT Thyroid S after a while on ERFA. I’ve been on it for about a week easing up the dose but feel a little anxious. Nothing major just a little undercurrent of worry, and the odd twinge or nerves I wouldn’t expect.
anyone had this??

I've only ever taken Thyroid S so can't offer much though I do read that Efra contains the least fillers and Thyroid S has been discussed as having too many fillers !
You also have a different level of T3 and 4 in Thyroid S compared to Efra -
Efra is stated as containing 8 mcg T3 and 35 mcg T4 per grain
whilst Thyroid S is stated as containing 9mcg T3 and 38 mcg T4 per grain -
I have not re-checked, but sometimes the microgram T4 and T3 differences are very close to what you'd expect if one product used 60 milligrams for a grain and the other used 65.
I didn't get on with Thyroid S initially, I had been on TR Mann for a couple of years and liked it. However, I feel quite good on Thyroid S now, and instead of 2 grams just take 1 gram and I have no thyroid...
The only symptom I appear to have, which doesn't make sense is a low grade toothache most of the time, which I didn't seem to have before, which doesn't make sense..Maybe give yourself a little longer. Good luck!
Thanks. I’ll cut the tablet in half and see how I go. NHS endo and GP now can’t prescribe T3, so am stuck with trying other meds and the supply can be unpredictable. I might try and get T3 privately- anyone done this?
