I was taking 3 years t3 only with 3x 25mg a day. I was doing well. After 2,5 years I got extreme tierdness after eating my first meal (breakfast) doesn't matter if 1-5 hours after getting up. I had to nap. Like a crash. Next meal was no problem with tierdness. When this occur i got after 1 month total lack of motivation. Don't want to do anything. Are not intrested in nothing. But i'm not depressed. Have normal mood. I never was a lazy person. Don't work don't life.
I tried different antidepressants inc. dopamine, amphetamine (vyvanse). No changement in motivation or tierdness. I didn't t tought that it could be a thyroid problem.
I heard what my doctor said t3 only is not good every person need T4 and switched me to NDT. 3 months we played with the dosage but it was not better it was worse then on t3..additonal to tierdness and lack of motivation: insomnia, interupted sleep, nightmares, acne, cold hands, weight gain, sweatings...
I couldn't handle it and switched to T4 only. The sleep was better but also worse then on t3 only. My vision is worser ..and the symptoms like on NDT. Dodctor said that i could make a T3/T4 combination.
I think why i should take T4 when it is useless..I want back to T3 only..
But is it possible to develop symptoms after 2,5 years on 75mg t3? I don't know if its hyper or hypo. Never did levels because read that its not usefull. If i took 3x 25 morning midday afternoon when i should take more to not crash in this first meal fatigue or got motivation to do something?
B12,iron,ferritin are good. Doctor checked me no diabetes or prediabetes.

Rather than a complete change, perhaps you needed a slight increase in T3 in the morning. Or even a slight decrease in T3 in the morning. For me, symptoms are much the same regardless if I am over or under.
You were on quite a high dose of T3 so to switch to NDT, which contains T4 would have meant a drastic drop in your T3 levels.
If I were you I would get back onto the T3, at the level you were at when you felt mostly OK but not perfect and, if you still get the crash after breakfast try a tiny decrease first. 2.5mcg if you can cut your tablet up like that. Or the smallest dose you can cut into. Leave it a few days and if you feel a little better stick with it for a week or two. If you feel worse, come back to the start dose level and let it settle for a few days and then try increasing the dose by the same smallest amount you can and see how you feel.
You have the added complication now of having some T4 in your body which will take a few weeks to leave fully. But try it and see how you get on.
I did a cortisol salvita test. Cortisol is very low in the morning and midday.I went off T3 only because i had a pulse of 110 and got red big pimples. I did T4/T3 combination but every day crashed after 4-5 hours with fatigue etc. Also with 5mg T3 i crashed. Now i'm on t4 only but also have the tierdness after breackfast and the lack of motivation/interest.
Can make T3 only with 75mg after many years problems with adrenals?
Can low cortisol cause lack of motivation/depression ?
