Just had a call from my doctors surgery to say they're changing me from T3 tablets to capsules as it will save them £200 per script.Seems excessive. Surely its more expensive to produce capsules

Many surgeries are doing this. The capsules are cheaper but be aware they cannot be split.
Cost to produce isn't the issue, though!
Roma came to market with capsules and undercut the tablet makers.
I believe that Roma are still making a good profit. But welcome their presence in keeping the prices down a bit.
Clearly, the cost of the liothyronine ingredient is not relevant to the prices!
