She’s now on 75mcg of levo and her thyroid function is improving. I’ve read that Hashi hypos benefit from ferritin being high, ditto all nutrients, so are her folate and B12 a little compromised?

When was dose increased?
After these test results in July
Which brand of levothyroxine is she currently taking
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase
How old is this person and approx how much do they weigh in kilo
Yes B12 and folate too low
No vitamin D result either
What vitamin supplements is she taking
High cholesterol is linked to being hypothyroid and will improve
Low GFR and poor kidney function similarly will improve as dose levothyroxine is increased
Thank you SlowDragon.
After this test in July she was given only 25mcg of levo which I explained was a very low dose. She then retested after about 7 weeks on 25 and immediately increased to 50 of her own volition after the test. However, after speaking to her GP a couple of weeks ago she increased again to 75. I know her thyroid function has improved but I don’t have the numbers.
The results I posted are the July ones which were before levo prescription and purely to ask the question about haemoglobin but in answer to your questions she’s now down to 68kg after losing 4lbs which she can’t attribute to levo as she’s also made some dietary changes. I don’t know exact age but she’s late 50s and post menopausal.
Don’t know the brand of levo and she takes no supplements.
Thanks again.
She needs full thyroid and vitamin testing 6-8 weeks after each dose increase
all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Thank you SlowDragon, all this she knows as I’ve quoted you to her a few times!
Any thoughts on her high haemoglobin though? That was the real question. Her ferritin isn’t dire at about 54% through the range but she’s aware that a little higher may bring some benefits.
Thank you for your thoughts and the link. Will pass it on.
