Hello to the hive. I’ve finally found a lab not too far from me to test FT3 & FT4 (along with TSH). My question is what is the definitive list of required tests for vitamins, etc to test for inflammation and deficiencies? I’ve been tearful, deflated with very low energy & depression even with B12 supplements. I strongly suspect I’m no longer converting with just Levo (100 mcg) and likely need synthoid added. But I’m always seeing different lists of labs to ask for…so hoping to get this clarified ahead of time for best results. Thanks again in advance! 🙏

Recommended tests are
TSH
FT4
FT3
Thyroid antibodies (Thyroid Peroxidase and Thyroglobulin)
Vit D
B12
Folate
Ferritin
If ferritin is low then you'll need a full iron panel to test for iron deficiency, this will include
Serum iron
Transferrin Saturation Percentage
Total Iron Binding Capacity
Ferritin
and it may include CRP.
If you want to test for inflammation then test CRP (C-Reactive Protein).
If your ferritin is low and you do an iron panel for iron deficiency, you may also want to do a full blood count to see if you have anaemia. You can have iron deficiency with or without anaemia.
