Anybody tried this method and could help me interpret the results, their sample report is hard to make sense of, as figures are given as mg rather than ug. How would a test figure of 24mg compare to the recommended urine result of 150ug for instance? 🧐

Thanks seasidesusie, I think I’ll give Genova a go as I think they’re much more straightforward. However, do you think spot urine testing is a reliable enough measure of iodine status?
Have you done the 24 hour collection before? If not timing is absolutely crucial, I can explain it to you if you're going to do that one, just let me know.
Oh I might be wrong but I think the above link for Genova is the simple one collection urine test as opposed to 24 hr (based on their instructions). I can’t find any other iodine tests offered by them. I was leaning towards Regenerus initially due to theirs being 24 hour but the sample report put me off in the end. I don’t think I’d be able to interpret it.
Their leaflet here gdx.net/uk/core-uk/kit-inst... states that it is for "1st morning void T3 or Iodine" which is a different test. Is that what you were looking at? It's the wrong leaflet/instructions for the test 24 hour collection test.
END25 was definitely 24 hour collection, I've done it twice.
If you have any doubts, email them before you order or ring them
Genova used to do the 24 hour urine iodine test but stopped it some time ago.
I did the urine iodine test in January 2016 END25 but I can't remember if it was the 24 hour or the 1st morning void one. It's possible that it was the 1st morning void.
I retested in September 2016 and that time I did the urine Thyroid/Iodine test (END26) and that was a 24 hour test. For that combined test there was only 1 sample tube so the iodine was tested from the 24 hour collection. Here is a sample report for that test gdx.net/uk/core-uk/sample-r...
The END25 test on the pdf linked to through ThyroidUK is the 1st morning void test.
It's possible I got mixed up, for which I apologise.
So the easiest test to interpret results from, as far as I can see, is Genova.
I have read that a 24 hour test is better than a 1st morning void test (but it may not make that much difference).
I've had another look at the sample report for the Regenerus test and I still don't understand the iodine result.
Biolabs do a 24 hour one with an easy to understand result sheet
Thanks seaside susie, seems that biolabs don’t offer tests direct to patients but by going through pulsescreening.co.uk I can order the urine test which is collected once. It’s priced at £50 so a good bit cheaper than Regenerus or Genova. I’d prefer to do the 24 hour but not sure I could afford the T3/T4 and iodine combined test at £151! Shame the Regenerus test is impossible to make sense of, so all in all it seems I’m left with Biolabs. Thanks for all your help, hopefully others will see this info and it will help them access the right test for them :).
