I really can’t say that I think this is beneficial, it may keep the numbers lower but it does nothing for how sick I feel.
I need a good endocrinologist if anyone knows of one accepting new patients.
I will travel anywhere from Brampton to Fort Erie as bd I suggest you do the same if you are unsure of what is going on in your body.
I do not even recognize myself in the mirror, people walk past me at the grocery store, etc.
Half my thyroid was removed in 2017, I’m now up over 70 pounds and I can barely function as my energy level is non existent. Now there is a small nodule on the remaining left side, interestingly, the radiologist recommended that it be “revisited in a year”!
I guess I have to hope it doesn’t grow because thyroid cancer is normally slow growing, except under certain circumstances! Hmmmm, wonder what they are?

Which numbers are you talking about? TSH? That would have very little bearing on the way you feel. You need your thyroid hormones tested - FT4 and FT3 - TSH isn't even a thyroid hormone. It could be that whilst the Eltroxin is raising your FT4 level, which would decrease your TSH level, your body is not converting it into the active hormone, T3. And, it's T3 that affects how you feel, not the TSH. But, you won't know this unless the the FT4 and FT3 are tested. This has nothing to do with the efficacy or otherwise of Eltroxin, it's the way your body uses it.
Sounds like you're really struggling there. Do you have any recent blood results? If ou do then post them here for people to comment, they need the reference ranges too.
If your levels are all over the place I wonder how you are taking your Eltroxin? It's recommended to take it at the same time of day, every day, on an empty stomach an hour before eating anything or drinking caffeine drinks. if this is not follwed then your body cannot absorb and then use the thyroid hormones.
