I'm so confused

Hi everyone.

I have my medichecks results back and I'm just a tad confused.

Would someone please cast an eye over my results and provide a bit of an insight.

My previous TSH were

1.9 in October 2021

1.9 on April 27th 2022

2.71 on June 22nd 2022 (GP result)

Did medichecks on the same day. In the morning no breakfast.

I've been treated for vitamin D deficiency

And vitamin B12 deficiency.

These are higher now after supplements.

My folate is still low at 8.8 (3.8-26.8)

My ferritin is 95 (15-150)

I have a higher than I would like of hba1c -39 (20-41)

My cholesterol is 6.2.

My ESR is now at 9 (0-12) its jumped from 2 in October 2021 to 8 on April 2022.

I have low white cells that have got a little better since vitamin supplements 4.88 (4-10)

Red cells are good 4.45 (3.8-4.8)

Any advise would be great.

I'm suffering with weight gain I cant shift even being active.

Fatigue especially in the early afternoon. Good old heartburn and very low mood but gotten better after some time off work.

I also have hypermobility syndrome and potential endometriosis.

Also I am unmedicated exept for to progesterone only pill and gabapentin for my neuro issues.

Thanks in advance.

High Thyroglobulin antibodies is indicative of autoimmune thyroid disease

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/303...

But NHS only recognises autoimmune thyroid disease if TPO antibodies are high as well

Significant minority of Hashimoto’s patients only have high TG antibodies and therefore struggle to get diagnosed

How much vitamin D are you currently taking

Are you on B12 injections or daily supplements

What are your B12 and vitamin D results

Are you currently taking daily vitamin B complex

Have you had coeliac blood test done yet

Many many EDS members find strictly gluten free diet helps or is essential

Hi slow dragon. Hope you are keeping ok! Thanks for the response. My b12 is over 2000 as has loading doses and has 20000ul of vit d for 15 days. Now on over the counter.

Not taking other supplements atm as want my testing to be accurate rather than false.

Even though I want to be well. I feel it necessary to be able to go armed with all the info I need when I go back to gp....

I'm waiting on some other test results from gp.

Waiting for intrinsic factor, coeliac and full thyroid panel. Only have tsh back from gp and have a feeling though even though full panel was requested and gp said yes to it, I have a feeling the tests havnt been done.

Lab rarely tests more than TSH if TSH is within range, even if GP requests Ft4 and Ft3 are tested

Why does that not surprise me😞🙄

Do you think I should let my gp know this test result. I'm so afraid of being kicked to the curb....again. or is it something to not worry him about?

Wait until you get other results back

Then make an appointment or email in copy of results
