So 6 weeks ago I had my tsh ft4 and ft3 tested, my ft4 came back at 12.5 (12-22) and my ft3 came back at 3.8 (3.10-6.80) tsh 0.886 ( 0.27-4.20).. I have been feeling quite poorly lately and finally managed to get a referral to specialist though still waiting on appointment... I decided to get my frees retested out of curiosity while I'm waiting and these have came back at Tsh 1.26 (0.27-4.20) Ft4 15.500 (12- 22.00) Ft3 5.14 (3.10- 6.80) can 6 weeks make this much of a diffrence? I'm on no medication and both tests were took through medichecks at same time of day with fasting beforehand.. does this mean I'm suddenly "better" ( I don't feel it) and is it possible for such a fluctuation without meds ?
Please help I'm so confused 💟

Have you had thyroid antibodies checked. It is the commonest form of hypothyridism to have antibodies. These attack the gland and wax and want until we are hypo and the proper name is Autoimmune Thyroid Disease also called hashimoto's or hashi's.
Hi thank you for your reply.. I've had my antibodies checked twice so autoimmune was ruled out. My gp has refferdme to specialist for possible secondary hypothyroidism but it doesn't look like that now with latest results.
No I haven't had these tested yet, I was going to request when I see gp this week, I feel very hypo but pain in back of neck and shoulders is the worst thing, I had ultrasound done already to rule out thyroid cancer all that was said was my whole thyroid was enlarged with no nodules, consultant said he had no idea why my thyroid was enlarged and put it down to a "simple goiter",but that was back in January and I've been feeling worse, I was convinced my levels had dropped more which was why I retested out of curiosity, so I was really surprised that they came back like this, especially as on no medication or vitamins, none of this is making any sense to me at all, can thyroid hormones just sort themselves out ?
