Got a call from GP wanting me to go in for another blood test. I advised her I thought I was going from hypo to hyper again and need to be ok as I go away next week for 2 weeks and don’t want to be unwell or need to seek medical attention whilst away.
My last post my B12 was very low have my final injection tomorrow. Course of 6 over two weeks.
GP can’t decide weather to increase my PTU and is waiting in above results to message Endo for more advice. My Endo appointment has been moved again now from end of august to middle of November. So not impressed with this.
Any knowledge and understanding greatfully received. Thank you in advance 🙏😊

Your FT3 is disproportionately high causing it to remain / become high while your FT4 is below range.
Increasing PTU will cause both to to drop.
I mentioned in a previous post FT3 dominance is a recognised phenomenon with Graves (occurs in 10 - 15% of cases). If this is the case there are ways to manage it.
The difficulty being the FT4 will drop too low and FT3 remains high. When using adjustment or titration of the antithyroid alone.
This is often managed by higher doses of anti thyroid with a replacement dose of Levo (T4). This in affect blocks the thyroid totally but replaces the hormone (block & replace)
No haven’t done yet was waiting to get B12 injections finished tomorrow before introducing anything else. I also wouldn’t know what to look for as it’s been suggested that supermarket shelf vitamins are not worth the while.
