METAVIVE 1 …how to start when on thyroid meds?

Hello everyone..

I’ve just bought one pot of Metavive 1 for the first time.

At 72 I’m so sick of being intolerant ..seemingly...of all thyroid hormones

Two private doctors suggested Metavive to me…unfortunate, both retired ..including Dr P …and I know he took it himself ..so I never had the confidence to try…

Fortunately !!! A very kind member here who is herself on Metavive solely , is helping me with all Dr Ps detailed instructions on how to start Metavive and to use it..

WOMDERFUL !

But how do I account for the tiny amount of thyroid pills I’m TRYING to take…

Without a doubt one if not the only reason I can’t tolerate thyroid hormones is low iron..low cortisol I take cortex for , and B12 I take daily also.

Doctor has just prescribed me double Spatone which historically HAS raised my iron..whereas other iron doesn’t seem to be working…

So here’s hoping…

So what do to do about my measly 25 Levo…which I do take and barely tolerate…

I’ve give up with the 0.5 T3 …YES ! Tipped me over into TERRIBLE ! Hard to believe is it not !

Grateful for Constructive ideas on how best to approach this…

Hello JollypollyDo you have any recent test results T3, T4, TSH? It’s hard to advise without this and also a more detailed history of symptoms and current symptoms.

I take metavive and it does seem to work for me but I find it can be quite strong so occasionally I have over medicated.

Going on holiday soon and need to try and chill !

Yes, no worries…I’m extremely cautious and shan’t be over medicating on ANYTHING ! My problem is tolerating anything !

I think it may be partly due to low iron which I’m now rebuilding with a more effective product.

Hello!I’ve just seen your T4 which does look v low and TSH v high. No wonder you’re not feeling great.

I’m not a doctor so not qualified to advise and if you are very sensitive it really is better to speak to a qualified practitioner.
