I’ve just come off the phone with my regular GP who has known me for over 20 yrs. Despite my TSH of 0.27 (0.3-5.0) she happily agreed to a rise in Levo to 125mcgs 🙌. My FT4 and FT3 are still low in range and I calmly explained that I wanted to trial an increase and that my pulse and blood pressure were still low and I would look out for signs of over medication. I also explained that each time I have increased I have felt well for a few weeks before a gradual increase in symptoms again and that this was impacting my welfare/work/mental health. I explained that I had a private blood test when a was feeling well and that test showed a higher level of FT4 &FT3 and a slightly suppressed TSH, but that I felt good at that point.
My point is that if you explain your knowledge/symptoms/wellbeing to a GP who listens it is possible to get increases even though the guidelines say “no TSH too low”
So I want to encourage everyone to educate/advocate/explain to your Drs. ……….it is possible 😬
Oh and Thankyou to all the great people on here without whom ………..
