Hello,
I normally take my T3 with my T4 on an empty stomach . I take my next meds (Sertraline, lansoprazole and probiotics about an hour later) Is this correct?
Thanks in advance
Jess 🙂

No
Levothyroxine should be minimum 4 hours away from taking any PPI like Lansoprazole
No medications or supplements within 2 hours of levothyroxine
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription
How much T3 and do you normally split T3 into 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day
How long have you been on PPI
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Extremely important to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Being hypothyroid frequently causes low vitamin levels
Taking a PPI will also reduce vitamin levels
Request vitamin levels tested now
Suggest you change time on levothyroxine to bedtime or change time of PPI
Retest thyroid and vitamin levels after 6-8 weeks on new regime
all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally before 9am last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
On T3 or NDT - day before test split daily dose into 3 smaller doses, spread through the day at approx 8 hour intervals, taking last 1/3rd of daily dose 8-12 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

It’s ESSENTIAL to regularly retest folate, ferritin and B12 at least once a year
Ideally test vitamin D twice year
Any PPI will tend lower vitamin levels
