hi all. good to be back. after a possible skin reaction to levo accord. i stopped the levo.. ( i do believe it might of been a hashi flare up.. really itchy cluster of spots mainly on the forearms.. i do also suffer from excema and have all my life that also flared up at the same time. my endo has asked me to try Glenmark.. which im trying to do right now with my local chemist. i have been in touch with Glenmark and they have said they have it available so i now have to get the chemist to order it.
can anyone tell me if Glenmark is generally ok ??

For that reason, I suspect very few have tried it.
Like some other products, it contains neither lactose, mannitol nor acacia. These appear to be the excipients most commonly suspected of causing degrees of intolerance.
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.
Glenmark, and, indeed, any other make of levo, will be ok for anyone unless they have a sensitivity to any of the fillers used. This applies to any medication or supplement. If your reaction was caused by the Accord brand, you need to isolate the actual element involved, particularly as the Accord brand of levo contains only the most common and widely-tolerated of excipients. If Glenmark suits you, then you should be able to compare the fillers in the two brands to find which is the possible culprit for your reaction, and you will then be able to avoid it in any future medication or supplement.
Hi partner.. thsts for ypur response..I cant seem to find a chemist local that will even get it. Even though i know glenmark themselves have it in stock. One chemist didnt even have it on there system.
Im still not fully sure it was the levo accord. But i was fine with actavis.. sinse stopping levo its calmed right down . So my endo come up with glenmark..
If i can't get it i guess i will have to go back to my endo..
I have been tempted to go back on accord and see if it happens again. As im wondering if there t was a hashi flare up.
Ask Glenmark who distributes their product and if they can help a pharmacy access it.
For example, if it were distributed by AAH, then you'd expect Lloyds to be able to get it as both these companies are in the same group. But a single pharmacy might need help to know how to get some delivered. Similarly, with Alliance and Boots.
'praps email 'em back saying "if they'd like to send you a free sample , you know of a forum with 120,000 thyroid patients, that you'd be happy to write a review of their new product on."
