Hello, I've been offered NDT trial by functional medicine doctor(yay!). The only problem is that I don't like the sound of one particular ingredient- cornstarch. I've read how many of you didn't get on with this brand, and we're all different of course but my gut feeling is that I've worked really hard to try and restore gut health, made enormous changes in my diet and I don't want to jeopardise it with a product that contains something that should be avoided on the first place. I live in the UK, is my only other option the pretty priced Armour? Thanks lovelies 🙂
Is Cornstarch in Erfa a GMO product?: Hello, I've... - Thyroid UK
Is Cornstarch in Erfa a GMO product?
I don't see that we can possibly answer that, I'm afraid
Even if 100% of corn in Canada were GMO, or were NOT GMO, we wouldn't know because Erfa Thyroid is manufactured in Spain.
Even if GMO corn is 100% banned in food in the EU, we wouldn't necessarily know as the rules for pharmaceutical products might be different.
I suggest you contact Erfa. Though it is possible someone has already asked them and will answer on that basis.
Yes, it's hard to know or trust big pharma, in my book anyways. What is usually reassuring to me when a label clearly states the ingredients, where the ingredients are sourced from, the obvious statements like lactose free, gluten free etc. I like transparency. Thanks 👍
Corn is not wheat…so it’s still gluten free
If you have a prescription in UK you can find which brands are imported by contacting wholesalers. Or ask the pharmacies listed here which NDT they can source.
Thanks for the advice
