Dear Members. I'd appreciate your advice on the following results. I have been transitioning from T3 only to T4/T3 this year. These results were taken at 8am as per the advice on here. Previous results were taken in Jan 2021 on 30mcg of T3 only. I had to change as I couldn't take any more than 30mcg of T3. I eat 100g of liver every week and take 5000mcg of Vit D3 and all the co-factors daily and I have done this since July 2020.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my post. I wouldn't be as good as I am without the invaluable advice of this forum and I know I still have a long way to go!

Thank you so much for your reply. I take T4 eltroxin by GlaxoSmithKline and T3 Thybon Henning. I take liquid vit d and K2 by aava labs.
My endocrinologist would like me to take 50,000iu vit d weekly for 3 months but I’d rather up to 10,000 daily on the liquid formula I take. I know it not good to take 50,000 iu long term (previous advice from here)
He would also like to see what my conversion is on t4 only and asked my to drop T3 over the next month then retest at the end of January.
Should I eat another 100g of liver a week? I know 200g is the weekly limit. I’m reluctant to take tablets due to my digestion and previous negative experiences on iron tablets.
Thank you again for your advice. I’m very grateful.

The Vit D Society and Grassroots Health both recommend a level of 40-60ng/ml with a recent blog post on Grassroots Health recommending at least 50ng/ml.
I don't understand why your GP wants you to take 50,000iu D3 weekly or why you would want to take 10,000iu daily, this is more than the loading doses for someone who has Vit D deficiency and you are right on the recommended level. There is room to get up to 60ng/ml but it's not recommended to go higher than that, so you really just need a maintenance dose now.

You shouldn't take iron tablets unless you've had an iron panel to see if you have iron deficiency and a full blood count to see if you have anaemia. If your serum iron is already at a good level then taking tablets would take it too high and too much iron is as bad as too little.
Eating liver should, over time, raise your ferritin and hopefully wont raise your serum iron level (it doesn't with me). You could try eating more liver and, as you say, no more than 200g per week.
Thank you so much for your informative reply. I’m very grateful to you for taking the time to respond. I’ll leave the Vit d at 5000 daily and I’ll eat some more liver up to the recommended amount.
