Sorry to hear you’re in hospital, I hope you feel better soon. As the T4 is so low with a raised TSH clearly you’re going to be low on t3. As you know, being low makes one’s metabolism and digestion particularly sluggish and if you’re suffering from diverticulitis that’s the last thing you want. I hope the doctors connect the dots where u are. Thinking of you and hope you have a good recovery.
Thank you it’s been the worst few days but just heard my infection marker is dropping thank goodness Also I’m on fluid only - imagine
Yes it’s made the fight all the harder -raising the Levo by 50.. last night I felt a stirring of a bit of energy to shower..upper arms hard to lift and the rest. Taking more T4 should convert to some T3 normally my T3 is upper range and T4 low with high TSH. I used to take 3 grains NDT so would that be 200 levo? I just find it v hard to take a lot of Levo to make the equivalent.
I think when home I will have to go back to NDT o try to get to 150/175 levo
So sorry to hear this, but hope you recover soon. When I reduce T3 and/or Armour, ( soon to run out) my diverticulitis flares. I really feel for you Take care x
I have Armour at home maybe I can take half at night instead of 50 more Levo.
60mg of Armour (which I think is the usual size of an Armour tablet?) is equivalent to 65mcg Levo, so if you only took half a tablet you might be under-dosing yourself.
Yes but I’m thinking that the T3 will help more than adding more T4 also it’s a big hike from 100 to 150 in one go… not sure last night I added 50 and felt able to have a shower - I’m like a slug or sloth lifting water jug or phone and I know that’s coz I’m so hypo as well as no food for a week and fighting infection and IV drip 3x a day 🤪❤️🩹😕😵💫🥴🥴🥴🥴 at least the infection marker is going down. Thanks everyone it’s a lonely ride in here
