Just wondering can follow up dose increase blood tests vary much?

My levo dose increased from 75

To 75/100 alternate days

After dr. did blood test tsh was 7.1 (tsh only done I think)

6 weeks later I did medichecks

Test and tsh 0.63 (0.27-4.2)

Free t3 3.9(3.1-6.8

Free t4 17.6(12-22)

My next test in a few weeks will be at 12 weeks

My tsh seems to have come down quickly in first 6 weeks is it likely for tsh to go up or down or stay same at the 12 week test if done same time in morning

Thank you all

Kind regards kate

TSH should creep back up ….because Ft4 and Ft3 suggest you are perhaps still under medicated

Ft4 only 54% through range

Ft3 much worse at only 22% through range

ALWAYS test as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Is this how you did this test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Looks like you are a poor converter of Levothyroxine T4 to active T3. When your T4 result is that good you should be converting much better. That’s assuming you left 24hrs of ingestion before your blood test. Have you considered doing the DIO2 gene test through Regenerus Laboratories to see if you have the faulty gene. It would be a good starting point. Your T3 is only 22% through the range and should be much higher. Sometimes no matter how much you increase your Levothyroxine dose your T3 can’t improve if your poorly converting. T3 is the most important hormone to get well. Do you have any symptoms of fatigue or anything else.
