You can but be prepared for it to show a false high FT3 level.
When on NDT (or T3) the day before the test the dose should be split into 2 or 3 and the last portion should be taken 8-12 hours before the test.
Ok if I have blood test at 4.30 pm how long do I need to leave from eating

Certain foods affect TSH, the FT4 and FT3 levels aren't affected by food. As you are on NDT your TSH is likely to be low or suppressed anyway and hopefully TSH is not used to adjust your dose, so you don't have to worry about not eating before a test when on NDT or T3. It's the splitting of the dose and the 8-12 hour gap between last dose and test that is important in your circumstances.
If you have a blood test in the afternoon, your results will not be at optimum, whereas an a.m. blood draw will be better and more accurate.
Hey there Flo-jo :
I take my NDT all in one go at around 3 00 am - and if I need a blood test for a doctor I believe I would need to wait 24 hours :
My T3 generally comes in at between 90 /110 % with my T4 at around 20 / 25 % through the ranges when I wait just around 8 / 10 hours.
I have no symptoms of hyperthyroid, and if anything run myself slightly hypo :
I have Graves and post RAI thyroid ablation and self medicate.
I monitor myself and only take 1 + 1/2 grains and just have a yearly private blood test, more to keep track of my vitamins and minerals, which I supplement.
