Having been on many types of NDT for many years I have purchased some Thyroxine to take with my NDT.
I take 3 grains Thyroid-S at the moment and feel OK apart from the fact that I feel constantly overheated. My temperature is normal though. I am thinking the balance of T3 in NDT is too much for me.
Anyone else take a combination of both NDT & Thyroxine? Any suggestions how I go about adding in Thyroxine and at what dose?

I would have thought it would be a good idea to do some tests before changing your dose like that. It doesn't really matter what the ratio of T4:T3 is in the pill, because that will all be changed once it gets into your system. So, you can't really guess at it. Lots of people do take levo with their NDT, but because their results suggest they should.
What's your adrenal status? I'm also on Thyroid-S, have weaned myself off prescription meds (Medrol) for adrenal fatigue, but did not feel 100% right so started taking Nutri Adrenal Extra a while ago. It's made all the difference in the world to me. When I don't take anything for my adrenal glands, I feel overmedicated on 3 grains of NDT. When on Nutri Adrenal Extra, I can take 4-5 grains daily without any problems. 4 grains seem to be the minimum dose I need to rid myself of all hypo symptoms. My FT4 is then around midrange and my FT3 levels just below the upper normal limit. But, without any adrenal support, I can feel overmedicated with labs like yours.
How much Nutri Adrenal Extra do you take?I found I couldn't raise my NDT above 2 grains without tachycardia & ectopic beats,so I have added a quarter of a tablet of T3.I would rather stick to NDT & am interested in what you say.I took Adrenavive II for several months but didn't notice any improvement.I didn't know Nutri Adrenal Extra was still available.
I tried adding thyroxine to the NDT,but got tachycardia & ectopic beats.
I take two pills of Nutri Adrenal Extra daily. I started with one, felt better but not optimal so raised it to two. I take one with breakfast and the other one with lunch (it says on label not to take after 1 pm).
