What are your most recent thyroid results

TSH, Ft4 and Ft3

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking, if any

Important to have OPTIMAL Vitamin levels

Vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 need testing annually

Have you had coeliac blood test done

Have you had ultrasound scan of thyroid

Sometimes thyroid can grow back

Essential to get ACTUAL results and ranges on

TSH, Ft4, Ft3, vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Retest TPO, TG antibodies for Hashimoto’s

TSI or Trab antibodies for Graves

Have you actually tried strictly gluten free diet…..helps thousands of thyroid patients

But rule out coeliac first with blood test

Have you had cortisol or DHEA tested

You might need propranolol (beta blocker) to slow uptake and conversion to levothyroxine

Thankyou again for your reply your so kind I'm having bloods done again in four weeks I will ask for copy and post them on here yes had coeliac blood test that was fine Propropamol take that at times when heart's racing that's something I've not done to try slow uptake down I did read something on this but I will try it I'm percribed 40mg when needed I did take it three times day before thyroidectomy thank again for taking time to respond.

Just a reminder - to allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and test and take it afterwards. Also to get the earliest possible blood draw as TSH is higher early a.m. and drops throughout the day.

I had palpitations when on levothyroxine during the day but mainlysevere ones during the night. The cardiologist couldn't figure out why this was happening and was considering putting an implant into my heart (I also was prescribed betablockers that I took at bedtime ). However when T3 was added to levo (T4) my palpitations ceased. I didn't need an implant but I still find I have to take a beta-blocker at bedtime.
