Hi It could well be that you are under treated, or just oo soon. Generally takes a year to be stable. What is your TSH, T4 and Free t3 with ranges? If T4 too high, over third top of range and FT3 too low, needs to be near the top of the range. Then you need less T4 and some T3. All ranges vary ,so results useless without a print out containing them. Then look at other tests too.

Weight is often down to low FT3 and other symptoms too. If your NHS cannot test, like here ,only alternative, cheapest is on line, do not go through a private hospital and use a well known Lab that a doc will treat if you who doc your results,

Best wishes,

Jackie

Thats Jackie...I need to get the bloods done privately as labs will not do t3 or t4 as my tsh was 1.7.

Hi Mine no longer does vital Free T3. So now I use Blue Horizon, have a long time. Well known Lab as the "in house" Lab at most private hospitals, different name though! Therefore docs well know it, if you want treatment on result. If you go on their main WEB site, finger prick test or venous blood, very simple. Quote TUK 10 for a discount, if more tests a different number and larger discount. With the discount £60-£70. If you want venous blood, then do not go by their suggestion of having it done at a private hospital, expensive. My GP fills my phial ( from them) with venous blood while doing other tests. There are various ways. However, I cannot use finger prick, which is easy as I have sticky blood, but simpler. Do not have any thyroid meds ( or Beta Blockers) on the morning of the test until afterwards. results to you in 24 hours, of receiving sample usually, working day. You can have any bloods done NHS and much more and some better tests but of course, expensive like that.Better not to send blood Friday or Saturday.

Best wishes,

Jackie
