Bless your heart. Yes, I think we'd all love to get "me" back...not a tired anyone understands either until you have experienced it. Unfortunately (unless some angel comes up with something wonderful) all you can do is go with it, don't fight it, just know that this is how today will be, rest (if you can of course), chill and wait for it to pass or ease. Well it does a bit, some days...for a while....a little bit (😉) ...all the best x
I totally understand And agree with Liz1952 that maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Are you in dose change purgatory, waiting to test before you can tinker? It’s a special kind of hell, isn’t it? I’m riding out the wrong dose yet again… but may be naughty. I had decided not to be naughty but I decided that before I felt this rough and lived with the implications!
Awe thanks x last test I had said in range . But I don't think iam . Or then think am I expecting too much that if on right dose . Will magically feel energised and as before. People defo don't understand. They physically can't see it , well they can physically see I'm tired and achy and stiff and put weight on. I some times describe its like I don't have any fluid in my body. Tin man !
Just being 'in-range' is not the same as optimal. It's where the results fall within the range that counts. You could still be under-medicated - and it sounds like you are - even with your results in-range.
Did you get a print-out of your results? You really should, every time you have a blood test. And, it's your legal right to have one. Just ask the receptionist - NOT the doctor - to print them out for you. Don't accept verbal or hand-written results, too many errors can creep in. You want a print-out of what is on the computer. Then, post them on here and let's have a look.
If not had thyroid levels tested for 3 months, as you aren’t stable yet, they should be retested
Make sure you get test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
Are you always getting same brand at each prescription
Have you had coeliac blood test done
Are you now on strictly gluten free diet
