If you are worried that you have gained half a pound then I'd suggest it's not significant. Our weight varies daily, mine can differ by 1lb or slightly more sometimes, and you might have just weighed yourself on a day when the scales show a bit heavier than normal.
As for being 2 stone overweight and not being able to lose weight, what are your current test results, particularly the FT3 as it's low T3 that makes weight loss difficult. Can you post your results, with their reference ranges, so that we can comment.
Thank you sea side Susie, these are March results blood taken 24hrs after last dose of levo and T3 so in reality T3 result is lower due to 24hr gap in last dose
Claire
Let's say, just as a guesstimate, that your normal FT3, with correct timing of last dose of T3, could be 4.9 (adding about 20%, if I've worked that out correctly). That would then give you an FT3 at 48.65% through range rather than the 26.49% through range with the 4.08 result.
Your FT4 at 19.7 = 77% through range.
So your FT4 and FT3 aren't particularly well balanced and it looks as though there is room to increase your T3 dose.
However, your nutrient levels could do with some improvement.
Do you take any supplements?
Vit D may be better at the level recommended by the Vit D Society and Grassroots Health, which is 100-150nmol/L, with a recent blog post on Grassroots Health recommending over 125nmol/L.
B12: 322pmol/L = 436pg/ml and according to an extract from the book, "Could it be B12?" by Sally M. Pacholok:
"We believe that the 'normal' serum B12 threshold needs to be raised from 200 pg/ml to at least 450 pg/ml because deficiencies begin to appear in the cerebrospinal fluid below 550".
"For brain and nervous system health and prevention of disease in older adults, serum B12 levels should be maintained near or above 1000 pg/ml."
Folate is recommended to be at least half way through range so that would be 35+ with that range.
A good quality, bioavailable B Complex should help improve both B12 and folate levels, consider Thorne Basic B if not already supplementing.
Ferritin seems to be at a good level but as you have Hashi's, which can cause inflammation, and your CRP isn't really low (lower the better), both CRP and ferritin can be elevated when inflammation is present.
Thank you ! Following those results i did increase my B complex supplements and my Vit D supplements, my CRP is usually very low and my ferritin always high which I don't supplement, I think I would benefit from increase in T3 trouble is I buy 25mcg tabs and split into 8, so difficult to only do a small increase
