Hi All,

Still waiting to be seen by ENT. Meanwhile here is the result of blood test, can anyone help me understand if i've suddenly switched from hypothyriod to hyperthyriod? Is it possible and if so what is the next steps? Thank you.x

TSH - 0.04mU/L (0.30 - 4.20mU/L)

T3 - 5.6pmol/L (2.40-6.00pmol/L)

T4 - 17.8pmol/L (9.00-23.00pmol/L)

Ferritin - 137ug/L (10.00 -120.00ug/L)

ESR -36mm/Hr (0.00-23.00mm/Hr)

Serum total protein - 81g/L (60.00-80.00g/L)

Serum globulin - 38g/L (19.00-35.00g/L)

VitD - 86.5nmol/L (70.00-150.00nmol/L)

Vit B12 - 303ng/L (160.00-800.00ng/L)

Platelet count - 376 (10*9/L) 135.00-400.0010*9/L)

No, it's not possible to switch to hyperthyroidism if you are hypo. And, just because your TSH is low doesn't automatically mean you are hyper/over-medicated. Your TSH is low because your FT3 is quite high, but it's not over-range so you are not over-medicated. Do you know if you have Hashi's?

Your B12 is rather low, and that could be causing symptoms, and probably needs supplementing. But, get your folate tested first. :)
