It’s the one SeasideSusie recommended and it worked. She also recommends another but I can’t think of it’s name. It’s made by Thorne I think

I used to recommend that one as well as Thorne Basic B. However, since looking into what vitamins can be taken together and what should be taken apart, I now know that Vit C should be taken 2 hours away from B12 as when taken at the same time the Vit C keeps the body from absorbing B12. Igennus Super B contains Vit C so there is the risk that the B12 it also contains may not be absorbed.

I now just suggest Thorne Basic B or to find a bioavailable B Complex that doesn't have added Vit C.

Hi Snqanq,

I also bought this one on SeasideSusie's recommendation a few months ago. It has been realised since then that vitamin C inhibits the uptake of B12, and this one contains Vit C. Thorne Basic B does not, it is more expensive though and quite a large capsule. If you haven't yet bought Igennus...........they stink.

The daily dose for Igennus is 2 tablets per day. I have been taking 1, and I'm quite happy with the results. It is difficult for me to say whether I've been absorbing the B12, as I had a series of B12 injections prescribed due to Coeliac before starting the supplement and my Serum B12 was high at 1796 ng/L. 3 months later on Igennus only it was 574 ng/L, which is good for me. Next 3 months will give a better indication.

I am really pleased with my last folate result of 8 ug/L (range 3.4 -12.2) as my records show that I have either been at the bottom or below range for years.
