Morning all,
Have been lurking in the background for the past year or so. This forum was an incredible help to my at the start of my under active thyroid and Hashi’s diagnosis. So I’m back again for a little help. I’ve recently embarked on my first cycle of IVF and was told by my endo to get bloods taken after the stimulation phase and then to have them done twice a week after embryo transfer. On Thursday last week at the end of stimulation my results were:
FT3: 4.9 (3.1 -6.8)
FT4: 14.6 (12-22)
TSH: 0.34 (0.27 - 4.2)
I had embryo transfer this Monday and took my bloods Monday morning as I know the introduction of oestrogen tablets can throw off the thyroid, but Monitor my Health lost my sample. Sent another lot back on Thursday so 3 days after transfer and my faults were:
FT3: 3.6 (3.1 - 6.8)
FT4: 12.2 (12-22)
TSH: 2.21 (0.27 - 4.2)
I should mention I’m on 50mcg of levo and take Erfa Thyroid 30mg twice a day.
I contacted my private endo and he said all look fine continue as normal for now. I don’t think those readings are fine, for me my FT4 has always been much higher than both readings and my TSH usually closer to being suppressed.
I’m thinking of taking an extra 25mcg of levo in the morning every other day to see if it helps to bring me back to normal-ish and hopefully not to affect the potential of pregnancy.
Any advice would be welcome, it’s completely stressing me out at the moment.
