Hi all, I had medichecks do my thyroid levels & it was in range but advice here was likely slight poor conversion levels. Also my CRP & Ferritin high. Rang GP re high Ferritin & CRP (didn't mention thyroid) to see if he would do an iron panel etc. Booked blood test for 10:30am tdy. Little did I know when I got to surgery was that GP had ordered a full range of blood tests inc thyroid, but I had already had my levo med & a cup of tea - not to mention it was 10:30am & all previous tests had been done much earlier. I refused to have bloods done & am now booked in for 8:30am tmrw. I've attached a photo of bloods ordered but I'm worried now as I've been supplementing B & D & folate therefore B12 is a supplemented high level. Also my vit D went a little over my intended goal to 175. Have been having right sided hip & back apain lately, tiredness, also numb feeling in right leg & foot with sore throat & slightly sore tongue. Any advice around tmrws test or where to take it from here?

Don't worry about the B12, if it's high and your GP mentions it and is concerned, just tell him you've been supplementing and that you've stopped now (which I presume you have?).
You should be off B Complex for a few days before a blood test because it contains Biotin and this can cause false results. Two days might be enough with a low dose.
Remember not to take tomorrow's thyroid meds before the test and only have water, nothing else to eat or drink until afterwards.
Hi there, yes I stopped taking the B12 but still currently take a B Complex. I re-arranged today's test for tomorrow morning so won't have enough time to be off the complex for a few days. Maybe I should re-arrange the test again? Wish I'd known the GP was ordering all these tests. Then again maybe I shouldn't complain!
