ERFA NDT

hi there. Is anyone on ERFA NDT? I was switched onto it from naturethroid in October as my specialist had reports that naturethroid was 15% lower dosage than what was stated but I'm not sure the ERFA is suited to me. My health has gone really downhill and I'm not sure if it's coincidental or It is the switch

I always take my NDT sublingually to make sure it's being absorbed as I have had some dysbiosis but I'm interested to see if anyone else has had similar using ERFA

Actually, taking thyroid hormone sublingually does not ensure that it's being absorbed. The molecules are too large to traverse the mucus membrane. So, it just dissolves in your saliva and is swallowed.

But, I'm afraid I have never tried Erfa, sorry.

I was forced to switch from Nature-Throid to Erfa earlier this year. Like you I felt bad on it but I put it down to the presence of cornstarch added to the fillers which made me feel unwell and even seemed to affect my breathing for a short period. Same with the Acella product which also has Dextrose (from cornstarch). Nature-Throid and WP Thyroid were so much better for me. Process of elimination. Currently I'm purchasing a synthetic version on T4/T3 as a bridge until N-Throid/WP Thyroid return.
