Just wondering if any of you get funny feelings in your arms at night? Been getting it quite a lot recently, any ideas what could be causing it?

Numb arms....or especially wrists (carpal tunnel) suggests possibly under medicated

Looking at previous posts, how much levothyroxine and T3 are you currently taking

Do you split your T3

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

If/when also on T3, make sure to take last third or quarter of daily dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test

Is this how you do your tests?

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

I had to stop T3 as it was causing too much pain with bloating and the noise in my left ear was horrendous. Waiting to try and get the lactose free T3 as the pain and bloating got really bad when eating dairy so want to see if it makes a difference. I went back up slowly to 125mg levo, was about 3 weeks ago I stopped taking T3. Haven't had vitamins tested for a while, I get paid on Wednesday so think I will buy a test from medichecks. Currently taking b12 and low dose natural iron.

Can I ask what type of noise you had , I have a noise in my left ear like a creaky floorboard when I tilt my head, nurse checked my ear and referred me to ENT 🤷🏼‍♀️

Its like a whooshing/ vibrating sound, it starts after I have been laying down in bed for a while. I do wake up with my ear feeling blocked. It gets worse if I take vitamin d and was bad when I was taking T3, it was so loud I couldn't sleep, drives me nuts.

Thank you, mine feels like a creaking noise, if I tilt my head to the right it’s not painful just annoying as I sleep on my right side ENT appointment in June so will just have to live with it till then.

Its so frustrating though isn't it. Does white noise help at all? It does help my noise but I can't stand any noise at night so I'm screwed lol. Good luck.

It’s very annoying, seems to be getting worse or I’m just noticing it more, it’s not painful so at least that’s something thank god, I hope you get the T3 you need, I thought T3 was the answer to everything, but I have to say has caused me problems, only on a very small amount but bloods again in another 3 weeks to see where I’m at.
