I am still trying to understand this stuff and trying to get a grasp on thyroid dysfunction and it seems after I was pressured into RAI things have never been the same... I have developed tinnitus and anxiety! sleeping issues! I am trying to get my new Endo to test all my vitamins to see if I can get them optimal! I will post more of my journey numbers in my bio!

Your profile (bio) is really informative. I see after you had RAI and your TSH went 81 at one stage! You must have felt awful.
Can you add what dose of levo you were taking as you progress? What are you taking now?
Your symptoms point to being under medicated. Most feel well when the TSH is around 1 and the FT4 and FT3 it in top third of range. FT4 needs to be converted to FT3 the active (useable hormone). Was this ever tested? Do you have option to order this test?
Key nutrients are often low when either hypo or hyper and levo will not work well if not optimal. Test for folate, ferritin, vitamin D & B12.
I’m sorry you were pressured into having RAI. Medics view treating hypothyroid “easy” and the safer, more straightforward treatment.
You will find lots of help and information on this forum so you can be proactive about your treatment and become your own advocate.
Right now I am on 150MCG 6 days a week and I take 1 and 1/2 pills on Sunday! I have been on so many different doses it's not funny... so from my ranges back in Jan what does that say of my T3/T4? right now it seems like he is only worried about TSH...
Obviously you need TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 tested at each test
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Extremely important to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Tinnitus is often linked to low B12 or being under medicated
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
So you take 150mcg 6 days a week and how much on 7th day ?
Strictly gluten free diet often helps or is essential
Get coeliac blood test done before considering trial on gluten free diet
I am trying to push for my Endo to test all the thyroid panel just not the TSH to get a full view of what's going on but seems to be worried about TSH from the recent bloods! I still take 150MCG on Sunday and then I cut another 150MCG Levo in half and take that as well as instructed by my Endo so it's 1 and 1/2 pills of the 150MCG. I just take a fish oil / turmeric / just gummy b-12 and d3 /
So FT4 not “terrible”. FT3 is too low, when this is low you will have symptoms.
Endocrinologist should not focus solely on TSH as it can lag behind, especially after being hyperthyroid is can remain discordant to actual thyroid levels for some time. You would hope your doctor would know this but they are taught TSH is all they need to look at.
I had suppressed TSH over 4 years, doctor didn’t pick it up. FT4 & FT3 levels were borderline high for all that time. I’ve had antithyroid medication for over 2 years now but my TSH still hasn’t risen into range even though my levels are now around 30% into range.
How often are you having tests & dose increases?
Do you take levo on a empty stomach with water only away how far away from from food, supplements & other medication?
Every 6-8 weeks getting bloods done... I have take Levo on an empty stomach at 4 am and go back to sleep usually for an hour or 2! and I take my Lexapro 2-3 hours after Levo
You need your ferritin, folate, B12 & vitamin D optimal first and FT4 higher, eg 75% Then your FT3 will likely naturally rise. Only if it stays low do you need to investigate why you are not converting and look at adding T3.
I just need to figure out how to get my Endo to test for all of these... I am just trying to get my optimal health back!!! anyone have any good private testing in the US for Thyroid panels?
My main complaints are cold toes and fingers! Sometimes I get tingly feelings in my feet and fingers! I get heart palpitations even though my heart rate is at like at a rest 57-66bpm! ringing in my ears and sound sensitivity it seems as well! I feel edgy but not like a panic attacks! It’s weird and like my memory lacks it seems and hard to recall some stuff ugh!!
