Were you on 125 mcg Levo for five days only before testing? And two days on 150mcg? Or have I misunderstood? Could you say a bit more about how long you’ve been taking Levo?

Yes 125 5days 150 2 days

On Levo for 2017 and been up and down. I was supposed to take it 125 for 4 days and 150 3 days but I misread that! 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

What are your symptoms owleyes? Do you feel better since your last Levo increase?

I’m taking 125 Levo (reduced from 150) & trialling a 10mg dose T3 in combination.

By the way, am liking photo of your choc lab; my choc boy is Buddy (hence forum name!) 🐾

Hi Buddy’s mum.

Mines called Alfred/Alfie. 6yr old.

I don’t seem to have any symptoms really. I get the odd ache in me joints but it doesn’t bother me. My heart has been thumping in me chest of a night and I also get hot. Not the menopause atm tho as been to see the gynae. but again it doesn’t bother me. I’m one of those who is always on the go. I don’t tend to worry about owt much I also Don’t feel tired. Can’t remember the last time I had a Sunday afternoon snooze! Lol

I know when I feel off tho as my hair will feel different. That’s when I have to up the Levo.

It’s weird as I’m not sure what I’m supposed to feel lol. When I was first diagnosed I knew I was off kilter big time. Once on the meds I was fine. Mine happened quite fast bloods in sept 2014 were fine December 2014 I was in bother. Had RI then went under 2 months later.

How do you feel? X

I’m a bit up & down; have seen some eye improvements with addition of small dose T3, but now getting achey lower legs again.

Currently also having flu- like symptoms as result of AZ Covid jab yesterday (able to have it for work)..... so feeling happy I’ve had it but wishing the aches/ shivers will pass. Just posted this on the admin post; seems like others who’ve had it experienced similar.

My vitamins were optimal in December, but will re-check. Have you tested key vitamins recently?

Yes just waiting on my vit d.

I had a headache with my jab and that was it. A paracetamol and it was gone.

What issues with your eyes?

I’m glad your vaccine went ok owleyes. 👍

I have mild TED; light sensitivity, dryness, upper eyelid swelling, slight asymmetry, lid retraction. Pleased to say TED specialist ophthalmologist I saw last week really pleased with addition of T3, as my eye measurements in Feb are much better than in Dec (before T3 trial).

Presumably your dosing regime is 125 x 5 days a week and 150mcg x 2 days a week?

How do you feel?

When was last dose of Levo taken before the test, we advise last dose is 24 hours before blood draw.

If test done as we suggest then your results still suggest that you could do with adding some T3 to your Levo as mentioned previously, assuming all nutrient levels are optimal.

Yes 24 hours stopping Levo and 7 days for vit b also. Does my GP prescribe the T3?

SeasideSusie profile image
SeasideSusieRemembering in reply toOwleyes

T3 has to be initiated by an endo for a trial, if endo considers you should stay on T3 then prescribing will be taken over by your GP after the trial. But as you say you feel "full of beans" I wouldn't change anything at this stage, leave things as they are for now.

I feel ok. Have noticed that my heart thumps in my chest at times. But full of beans as normal

If you are feeling good then I wouldn't change anything, just keep an eye on how you feel.

SeasideSusie I misread what dose to take I did 5 and 2 instead of 4 and 3!

Will it make a difference? I could kick myself!

SeasideSusieRemembering in reply toOwleyes

No problem with your dose, it wont make a difference, it's the results that are important.

How do I go about the T3 script?

SeasideSusie profile image
SeasideSusieRemembering in reply toOwleyes

Read my replies above. You say you feel full of beans, in that case don't upset the status quo. If you feel full of beans then your levels are fine for you as they are, you don't need to change anything.

Ok so keep on the 5 and 2. Redo bloods in 6 weeks? Or leave it longer?

SeasideSusie profile image
SeasideSusieRemembering in reply toOwleyes

If you continue to feel fine there is no real need to do another blood test, if you want to check I'd leave it 3 months.
