Hypothyroid and would love and appreciate help

Hello,

I'm new here and could really use some help.

I have been working with a number of people and nobody has got it right... I feel a little overwhelmed .

At the moment the last doctor I was working with had me on T4 for a month 75mcg first thing in the am and for the last two weeks we have added T3 cynomel spread into three doses a day. Quite low! The T3 made me feel worse! lethargic and puffy etc.. Hands and feet and puffy face.. dry skin on lower legs and excess weight gain 15 pounds.. feeling heavy, sore muscles and fascia and knee pain. Feel like my lymph nodes are blocked..

Any help would be appreciated, simply want to feel normal again along with my menstrual cycle back .

I'm going to add my blood work here.

Sounds like too many changes too quickly

After starting on levothyroxine at 75mcg bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks later.

Likely to need further increase in levothyroxine

Starting on T3 too quickly can be counterproductive because adding T3 will almost always shut your own thyroid output right down

Fine tuning levothyroxine is first step

Important to get vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels tested and at optimal levels

Have you had thyroid antibodies tested

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Vast majority of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease

Thank you Slow Dragon :)

I was feeling stable on the T4. I will say I have been playing around with cynoplus and cynomel for over a year previous to working with the doctor.

He cut me back and starting the T4 protocol and then advised me when the t3 could be introduced.

In Jamaica it’s a little difficult to get the proper panel work here.

I currently take K2 and D3 Vitamin A topically.

was this test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Only test affect 6-8 weeks on constant unchanging dose levothyroxine (and T3 if taking)

Ft4 is only 28% through range

When on just levothyroxine we frequently need Ft4 at least 70% through range in order to get Ft3 high enough

Yes. I did it first thing in the am and had eaten a thing or even drank water.
