Perhaps has been written on this subject, natural vs. synthetics. I wonder about equivalence because the conversion tables that I found on the net are indicative. I have tried ndt in the past but they were poor quality(thai or new nature throid ). I want to try this time a ndt from a compound pharmacy with prescription. Now I'm on 125 mcg levo +some T3 but I'm not feeling well. For a start, I would like of reducing the dose of levo to 100mcg and (the 25 +5T3 synthetics) to replace it with ndt. I wonder how much ndt to add. The pharmacy offered me 2 ndt doses which would be equivalent -25 mcgT4+6,25 T3 or 30mcgT4 +7,5T3. What do you think???

Several years ago there were major supply issues with desiccated thyroid. Quite a number of people in the USA went to compounding pharmacies for alternatives to the branded products.
Experiences varied and included some feeling they were very much sub-potent. Others being given synthetic T4 and T3 merely compounded in the same ratio as in typical desiccated thyroid products. And some who were perfectly content.
