I have been taking 1x thyroid S per day for a few years and sadly I'm running out so am going to try Thyroid active. Has anyone else tried this or any other NDT as a substitute, and if so how do you know how many to take? Would appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Thank you

Substituting NDT how many capsules should I start with?
Never heard of that one and a quick Google hasn’t found any results. Is that what it’s actually called? Who makes it?
How much T3/T4 is in it?
I’ve heard that people haven’t done well on thyro active nick naming it thyro inactive on another thyroid site !
So it’s the stuff from Regenerative Nutrition? They’re claiming similar amounts of T4/T3 per capsule as Thai NDT so I guess I’d try 1 a day for starters and see how you go.
But have a read of this. healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
It does seem it might not be all that good...
I was just about to purchase this as currently trying metavive 2 but it really not agreeing with me but after reading the comments I think I'll give it some more consideration. I hate all this trial and error!
It's interesting that they do say if you aren't feeling the benefit of the hormones then it might be due to low stomach acid so take with apple cider vinegar and digestive enzymes.
Thyroactive was so useless they gave us our money back. But it is now reformulated and called thyroactive2. They do both porcine and bovine. With the original version they did not publicise the amounts of active hormone, so I was surprised they are doing it with the newer version. Hopefully it works!! I ran out of thai thiroyd, tried thyroactive, and now settled quite happily on metavive11. Good luck!
