How many Hashimoto's sufferers on NDT?

I wonder how you get on with it. Or does NDT make autoimmune symptoms worse. I have been great all summer but not so good now. Tried raising but it's not easy.

Going on NDT was great for me.

Are all your vitamin and mineral levels good? I am hypo but know that hash's can be variable, so maybe that has an affect on how you feel as well.

I don't know if you have read the book or had a look at the site:

Thanks Shaws. Do Have Peatfield, Lowe, Skinner, Shonan and a few others but not this. I was reading her website the other day, and I suppose the slick presentation put me off as there are so many on the bandwagon of invisible disorders. I also read reviews that contraindicated the consistency of her research info. But I've looked again today and theire are terrific reviews in the US and UK...so I'll give it a lash.

I'm just 6 weeks on NDT and am feeling pretty grim so I think there may be other things going on. As Shaws suggests it's quite complex and vitamin and mineral levels are important as well as adrenal function and diet. Hopefully those references will help. I must read them myself

I just read and it's handy for revision. I read so much that information drops off! It might be a bit soon to feel your NDT is not working, I only starting noticing improvements after 6 weeks. It was very subtle. And, quite often, we are under-dosed.

It's worth asking here...if you already haven't. There is a huge pool of info and experience here given in a straightforward and helpful way. Some members are so up on the science and research they lose me. From all my surfing, research and reading patient accounts...this ain't no straight line journey. I get defup (I think that's fed up) with outsiders saying, 'Oh. I know someone with that, they take a pill and are fine!'

I am going to hang on in there, thanks!

I don't think your hormone is at fault. In fact you might be worse on Levo. Sometimes your cortisol causes problems and/or the factors that Shaws mentions.

I have been on ndt for nearly two months and feel so much better! All symptoms with the exception of my allergies have reduced... It's worth persisting x
